Holy smokes! Or is it howly smokes?

With 16 days left in the campaign, we just reached $75K—faster than we could have ever anticipated! We’re so excited to unlock two new play modes as a result of reaching this level. Lone Wolf opens up solo play mode and Big-Pack mode unlocks play for 5-player groups. Thank you! We couldn’t have gotten this far without you!

$75K! Wow!
$75K! Wow!

What’s next?

Well, we flew to $75,000 so quickly that we’re still waiting on estimates from one of our manufacturers that will help us price out our next stretch goal. We’re really excited to share it with you, and we thank you for your patience while we get those numbers. We’re committed to making sure we can produce everything that we promise, so it’s important we get this next estimate right.

Stay tuned! We hope to have those numbers in the next few days. In the meantime, we’ll keep the updates coming!

What comes next? Lupin's waiting patiently to find out!

A special message from the Center for Zombie Control

Dogs are our allies in the struggle against zombism!
Dogs are our allies in the struggle against zombism!

Over the past months, we’ve seen an exponential rise in spontaneous re-animation and subsequent “zombie” attacks. The cause and cure are still under investigation. While the CZC works to understand and combat this threat, remember to H.F:

  • Hide from wandering zombies.
  • Find a canine companion!
Remember to H.F. at all times
Remember to H.F. at all times

It's all about trust

Make sure you're protected!
Make sure you're protected!

Take care of your canine friend!

In these trying times, some dogs have forgotten their love of humanity. To maintain the valuable inter-species bond, the CZC recommends regular pats, boops, and belly rubs for your local dogs. Remember, “A scratch of the ears will quell their fears.” By coddling your canine, you’re doing your part to help us all overcome the zombie menace!

Follow your local advisory board for important updates from the CZC.

Show us your hooman-saving friends!

Join us on Facebook to show off pics of your hooman-saving friends. Share a pic of your pup in the comments here, tag in friends and family, and tell us how your canine friend would save you in the zombie apocalypse. Would she confuse and bewilder zombies with her zoomies? Would he sail right over the zombie’s head with his flight-like jumping powers? We want to know! You can also share a pic on Twitter. Tag in @makebigthings and we'll be sure to re-share!

Less than $6K away from our next stretch goal

We’re less than $6,000 away from unlocking our next stretch goal, and it’s a big one! Share the campaign with friends, help spread the word to family, and join us in unlocking two new play modes. Lone Wolf mode unlocks a one-player game, and Big-Pack mode unlocks play for groups of five. Your extra push will help us get there!

We'll have more PUPdates soon!

Stretch goal unlocked: Meet Gizmo and Bandit! Next stretch goal: Solo/Big-Pack play!
about 6 years ago – Sun, Apr 01, 2018 at 01:47:43 PM

Hello hoomans!

Give yourselves a scratch behind the ear, because we’ve just unlocked another stretch goal: two more dogs! They’ve come out from under the blanket and they’re ready to meet you. Say hello to Gizmo and Bandit! Here’s our ruff draft of their powers and portraits:

Gizmo is a Boston Terrier, and he’s one loyal pup. Wherever there’s a hooman or a dog in need, he’ll be there. Gizmo’s power allows him to get to any dog or hooman on the board and then herd them toward safety.

Meet Gizmo and Bandit!
Meet Gizmo and Bandit!

Bandit is a Dalmation, and she’s just the most playful dog in the world. She’ll play with other dogs, hoomans, and even zombies. Her ability lets her expend some of that built-up energy, and then gives her a bonus action - because there’s no stopping her eagerness to jump around and chase after things.

We’re so grateful to be able to welcome these two to the pack, now eight dogs strong, and it’s all thanks to your support!

Next Goal: Expanding the player range to 1 - 5 players

Our next stretch goal is a big one. At $75,000, we’ll expand the player range from 2 - 4 players to 1 - 5 players. We’re excited to bring a solo-play ruleset that has a single player coordinating a full pack, and a large-pack mode for big groups of friends and family! Reaching this goal will fund the extra design and playtesting to make these new modes of play feel great!

Pack mode and one-player mode unlock at $75k!

That’s it for now! If you want to help us reach this next goal, all it takes is thinking of the dog-lovers in your life, and spreading the news! Thank you all for being a part of our pack. :)

Stretch goal unlocked: Upgraded energy deck! Up next: Dogs!
about 6 years ago – Sun, Apr 01, 2018 at 01:46:20 PM

Wow! We’re chewing through stretch goals like they’re zombie bones! Thank you all for the support! Thanks to you, we’ve now UNLOCKED the upgraded energy deck.

A fully-illustrated energy deck - hooray!
A fully-illustrated energy deck - hooray!

Every single energy card will now feature unique art and a new storyline about being brave doggos, rescuing hoomans, licking your paws, and sniffing something mighty powerful in the air. Because you helped us unlock this goal, we've also been able to open up more slots in the previously sold out Have Your Dog Illustrated in the Game level! We're excited to see your plucky pups!

Our next stretch goal will kick in at $55,000. That goal? Two. More. Dogs.

They’re hiding under a blanket right now, but we hope we can introduce them to you soon! Just like Angelica (the corgi) and Willow (the St. Bernard) that we unlocked at $40,000, these pups will bring new breeds and new powers to the base game of Good Dog, Bad Zombie.

Of course, this is all thanks to you—your support and spreading the word. Thank you!

Stretch goal achieved: Welcome Willow and Angelica to the pack. And a new stretch goal revealed!
about 6 years ago – Sun, Apr 01, 2018 at 01:45:25 PM

Hello hooman friends!

A big yip yip hooray—we’ve achieved our first stretch goal! Because of your backing and sharing, all backers will receive two additional dogs as part of the base game. Welcome, Willow and Angelica!

Two new pups revealed!

Willow is a lovable St. Bernard with a keen sense of smell. She can sniff out a menacing zombie or a hiding hooman on the faintest of breezes! Her ability, Sniff the Wind, lets her peek at the top card of any scent deck and avoid it if it smells like trouble!

Angelica’s a corgi with a devilish streak. Her powerful ability to Make Trouble comes with a risky cost! She chomps, runs circles, and chomps some more. Angelica’s bound to be troublesome for those pesky zombie hordes as they try to converge on Central Bark.

We’re excited to be able to add these two new pups to the pack! We hope you’ll give Willow and Angelica a welcoming scratch behind the ear!

Energy Deck upgraded with extra art and storylines at $47.5K!

Because we cruised right through our first stretch goal, it’s time to announce another!

Right now, the most powerful cards in the Energy Deck each have a unique storyline and piece of art. Our next stretch goal will give every energy card the same treatment!

Here’s an example of a basic energy card:

When we reach $47,500, we’ll be able to give every energy card unique artwork!

This stretch goal is especially exciting for us, because it also gives us the opportunity to expand our Have Your Dog Illustrated into the Game level ($300). With an expanded budget to pay our artists, we’ll get to open up more slots for more wonderful pups. :)

Thank you everyone! We’ll bark ya later!
